The Forth Hotel in Newcastle - Our Story

Ecletic and discerning music venue for those that know

Perched on the corner of Pink Lane just five minutes’ walk from the heart of Newcastle and a stones throw from Central Station. The Forth has a colourful past, having allegedly been the site of a former brothel and illegal boxing matches during the 20’s, whilst owned by Tommy Burns the former Heavy Weight Champion of the world.  Part and parcel of local history, the pub remains ever popular and a favoured spot for after-work drinks, a mid-week bite to eat and weekend nights out.

The Forth’s unique roof terrace makes it all the more appealing for a visit during the summer – with art adorning the walls from local international artist Hush and up and coming talent Bobzilla. Theres a mix of cosy seating and cool and colourful high stools with patio heaters for days when the weather is a little more Britain than Bahamas…
